Brief 07 | World Record Day - Research | Posters

previous record store day campaigns -

this poster was in support of world record store from a sweet store - the image of the vinyl is made from liquorish. it looks fun and clever how they have made it relevant towards the vinyl and the sweet store.

very minimal design, also its very grungy and therefore reflects the idea of record stores. this poster could be used across a number of stores on record store days and works because its so versatile.

hand drawn poster creates interest, the illustrations used within the posters are very relevant to record stores, it appeals to a younger audience and doesn't come across too serious.

similar to the sweet poster used above, this poster is another supporter of record store day and is a coffee shop supporting, the use of the central cup of coffee represents the vinyl player and the spoon represents the pin. makes it very fun and relevant.

Also similar to the food designs this is a pizza place supporting world record store day and the pizza cutter represents the vinyl. It creates a fun design as well as the community taking part.

This design is very retro style using a 50's pin up model. The colours suit the retro theme, its fun and again relevant to the genre of music and style of shops.

These two posters are very illustrated, they use hand written font as well as a contrast of colours. The illustrations work well and look fun which will therefore grab attention.

this poster is also slightly retro and has a cut and paste design. Theres a lot of image going on and becomes hard to concentrate on one thing. However the red yellow and blue work well together and stands out.

analysing these posters has given a good idea of the expectations which are needed on the posters, including the supporting information. Its also good to see how each of the posters have targeted a range of audiences.
