Brief 07 | World Record Day - Research | Genres

Discussion with the store (primary research)

create 5 posters that each reflect a different independent venue in leeds each of the venues must also reflects a genre of music. This will influence the style of the posters and use elements represented to the genre of music through colours and type faces.

Researching more in depth these genres of music began to gave us a good idea of design elements that should be included when creating the world record store day posters. 
It became clear the characteristics of each genres designs as well as the colours which were most suited to the particular types of music.
When generating ideas for the posters it became a lot easier to considerate specific designs for the posters.
