sketching a range of layouts helped a lot in the direction that should be taken when approaching illustrator, it gave me a lot of ideas on placing the images, and also making the zine uniformed.
Also adding ingredients borders emojis etc.. as a fun and playful aesthetic is what Alex was wanting most.
The type which is used in the image is stretched and takes over a lot of space on the spreads, this is influenced from the research which was found.
A lot of overlay images was also included, this reflects a vice / urban / street theme that the content of the photographs helps to reflect.
Also full bleed images helps the content become more important and gives the layout a more interesting design.
