Brief 01 | Hola Paella | Research 01

Background research

"For freshly made Paella and a Mediterranean style feast in the heart of London, come and visit Hola Paella. Locations currently include Covent Garden’s famous lower piazza and the historical Greenwich Market.

We cook our delicious Paella in huge pans before your very eyes in lively and sociable atmospheres. Surrounded by the sounds of buskers and market traders you can really feel a part of these amazing happening and vibrant locations.

As well as serving great Spanish food and drink we are also dedicated to following a greener way of doing business using the excellent and totally sustainable, recyclable and attractive Palm Leaf Plates."

Current website design

The current website design does not symbolise a lively or vibrant location as discussed in the opening  paragraph on the website. The colours are similar to the McDonalds logo and therefore doesn't give the best impression of food which this stand serves. They are very passionate about the culture of Spain and the high quality tapas which they serve as this is clear to see from the information given but the design of this website doesn't reflect this.

When searching for Hola Paella through google, the images which are shown represent a more lively and fun environment as well as colour schemes to reflect the fun theme of Spain. The use of calligraphy on the chalk boards makes it not seem as formal and rather more inviting and fresh. When thinking of how to represent the brand through the open night designs its clear that bright colour and hand type should be used, customers will also find this aspect more recognisable to hola paella.

Menus

Reading through this menu, the prices of the food aren't overpriced and seem reasonable for a London food market, for example prices starting at £4 for paella shows us that the clientele for Hola Paella aren't a high class person/s. Instead more for a person who would prefer a good quality for food for a good price rather than someone who would ravel to Spain for a high quality cuisine.
